This club is not listed in the Chip Rack (Ed XV) nor the Chip Guide. It is listed in the The Gaming Table. The Gaming Table says: "240 Bridge St, Winnamucca Open: 1960, Closed: 1978, Larraguettae, Joe Mackey, et el". Joe Mackey's Star Broiler at 30 West Winnemucca Blvd is listed as Open:1964, Closed 1978 and is located just about a block away from the New Star Casino & Broiler. Makes me wonder if the Star chips - with only a denomination and a star - might have been first used at the New Star Casino and then maybe later at the Star Boiler. The design on the Star Boiler chips do look just like the design on this plastic "free bet" token without the writing around the edges. I suppose it doesn't make any real difference but it is interesting and does make me wonder about the history of it all.
