Watch out for prop "Maverick" chips for sale

I saw this recent sale on eBay. The set SOLD for $45 (with the S&H).

I was thinking of bidding, but had a better idea and contacted my friend, David Spragg. He advised me to avoid buying as in his opinion, they were cheap chips with no value. I respect his opinion and let the chips go. (Thanks David grin)

I went out and got a used, rental copy of the movie "Maverick".

I went through the entire film, and found two scenes with poker chips. The first was early in the movie when Mel Gibson meets Jody Foster at a poker game:

As you can see in this scene, the prop chips are blanks:

The second scene with poker chips is the climatic scene aboard the riverboat "Lauren Belle" for the All River's Poker Championship:

Here are some scans of the chips from that scene:

You can see that the real prop 10 chips are white, and the fake 10 chips are red. The real prop 50 chips are red, and the fake 50 chips are gray. Also, the real prop chips have a different front and back.
