The BOD has to deal with the real issue of how to pay for all of this, which is not necessarily easy. I'm not sure you idea has been fully discussed by them yet, so don't count yourself out. And remember, any decision they make can be revisited at any time. I believe you have the best interests of the club and the hobby in mind and I think your idea has a lot of merit, even if I have no idea how to solve the logistical issues, let alone how to handle the hard working unpaid volunteers.
