This was once considered a rare chip, but as has been documented often on the Chipboard, it no longer is. One seller now has 100 of them listed in one auction:
And another seller, who had continued to describe the chip as "very rare, an R9," (4-7 known, according to James' book), even though he knew all along that it wasn't, also has 100 of them in one auction.
To his credit, he has removed "very rare" and "R9" from his description.
However, he's hoping to find a sucker willing to pay $250 for one chip in this auction:
I collect Tahoe, and when this was considered rare, I didn't have it in my collection. I found one for $10 at the convention. That was my price point all along.
