BEFORE MOVING TO FLORIDA, WHILE LIVING IN TENNESSEE; NANCY AND I TRAVELED UP AND DOWN THE I-75 CORRIDOR FREQUENTLY. NANCY’S BROTHER LIVES IN NAPLES, FLORIDA. WE TRAVELED TO FLORIDA FREQUENTLY AND THIS CARD ROOM WAS ALWAYS A NICE PIT STOP.
I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO TALK TO THE MANAGER AND OCASIONALLY THE OWNER OF THE FACILITY. THIS KIND OF ARRANGEMENT HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY SPECIAL TO ME. ONE OF OUR TRIPS THE OWNER INVITED NANCY AND I INTO HIS OFFICE WHILE THE OFF DUTY DEALER WENT INTO THE BACK ROOM TO SEARCH FOR THE CHIPS THAT I NEEDED. WHILE WE WERE CHIT CHATTING ABOUT HIS NEW GAMBLING MACHINES THAT HAD JUST BEEN INSTALLED ETC. ETC. HE GAVE ME A NICE CARD TOPPER WITH THE COMPANY LOGO ON IT. THESE ARE THE GOOD GUYS IN OUR INDUSTRY.
THERE RARELY WAS MORE THAN ONE TABLE IN ACTION, EXCEPT WHEN THEY HAD TOURNAMENTS. SO STOP BY AND SAY HI. I ALWAYS FELT WELCOME THERE…REGGIE
