May I suggest a twist to the Round Robin? Make it a Virtual Round Robin. Here's my thoughts:
1. The person who starts the round robin scans the chips and builds the list of participants.
2. Owner sends an email to the first person to view, participant looks at the chips, determines what he wants and sends an email on which chips they want.
3. Round Robin owner pulls the chips and sends them to participant #1.
4. Participant #1 sends their chips to the Round Robin Owner along with $3 - 5 dollars to cover postage (or chips to cover postage). Participant tells the Round Robin owner which chips are their chips so they are not confused on what goes back into the Round Robin.
5. Round Robin Owner scans new chips and sends out the next email to the next participant.
Repeat until list is complete.
Advantages of a Virtual Round Robin:
Saves on sending 300+ chips to each participant (just in case the participant doesn't find anything they want)
Reduce mailing costs and insurance drastically
Prevents someone from "upgrading" their personal collection with the Round Robin
Gives Round Robin owner quality control (would know exactly who added the crappy chips)
Gives more control to Round Robin Owner.
Stops the "send back" to the Round Robin Owner if something goes bad.
The only bad thing is it would require a lot more work for the Round Robin Owner.....but gives piece of mind.
Thoughts??
