I would agree if the South Point is the best the club can do then it is a good fit for a satisfactory situation and we should be grateful we have that in our pocket. I do feel strongly that a strip location would be better for the club for many reasons that have been discussed. If we can work out an arrangement with a strip property for an annual show and maybe even a mini show by putting some personalized effort or using some of our influential contacts then that would still be in the best interest of the club in the long run. I think it would well worth just trying with a real concerted effort. Not just sending out bid requests.
I really enjoyed reading your history of how you got started in chip collecting and I wish more of us brought more members into our hoping by bringing others in and talking about chip collecting to any and all that maybe interested. My two cents!
