I enjoyed meeting you at the convention. Thank you for volunteering! I hope you enjoyed your time with Carey. I'm not sure if you knew him before or not but I thought that he would be a fantastic person to put a newbie with. Talk about a good teacher!

Please stick with the Club. We really are a good bunch who love our Club and hobby. Yes, there are some grouches and some that maybe aren't always the kindest of people. Unfortunately it's part of being in a group with more than three people in it.

I also hope that you'll understand that anyone you consider to be "cutting" on Mr. Pavlik has reason to do it. I haven't seen anyone do anything more than question/challenge him to answer simple questions. Past experience for most of us is that he's very good at asking questions with barbs thrown in or making unsubstantiated comments but he's evasive when it comes to answering questions addressed to him.

I urge you to do some research on your own. Searching the archives 12 - 17 should give you a lot of insight into the man that you see as a good guy and see if that makes a difference in how you feel about him. Just go to "posted by" and type in his name. You'll find a lot of posts by him. See if your opinion of him or the others involved in the organization changes.

For instance, this is how Mr. Pavlik treated another newbie who dared to speak up and suggest that his behavior was unwarranted. Please read the whole thread. Particularly the one liner by Mr. Pavlik that says "right, a newbie knows it all." That is the person 99% of us know.

The kind of man you would want as an officer?

Yes, I have a history with Mr. Pavlik. It's in the archives as well. No, I don't like him and will work against him ever being elected as an officer of this organization because I believe he is absolutely the wrong person to represent the CC>CC. Nor I do not want him representing me to the world in any way, shape or form and that's what he would be doing as an officer.

But if you think this is all personal, then please, talk to other long time members of the Club. Speak to the woman who posted last night that she would quit the Club if he's elected. Ask her why she feels that way. I'm sure she'd be quite open with you about her opinions.

Again, I hope that you'll continue to be a member of the Club and enjoy it as much as most of us do.
