I'm on the board of an organization who worked with the DeVos Institute for a two year cycle. We just ended our two years. We have had
great success with them. We wrote for a grant to cover the cost of the consulting, so I'm not sure off the top of my head what the total costs were.
I'll have to look that up and get back.
In order for the consulting to really work for the organization, it has to be fully focused on the plan and execute it. It is a lot of work and in our case it will fall directly on the BOD.
Thinking about it… This type of planning may be a better fit for the MOGH at this point. I'm not sure if the MOGH is under a different 501c3 or
what the relationship it has with the Club Board? Under a consulted growth cycle the BOD has to be dedicated and it will require a full time effort.
There are plenty of books on the subject of assisting not for profits for growth and stability. The DeVos has published such books but they are specialized in arts organizations. We are not far from that... especially the MOGH.
I have always though that our club needed a full time Director. The MOGH will need one too if it plans to continue its growth.
