Sorry to report that my Mom passed away last week. She was 94 and was an ultimate survivor, having survived the holocaust losing almost her entire large family and stepfamily leaving just one brother and sister. She survived coming to America, penniless, with a 3 month old baby (me) and thrived. She survived two open heart surgeries with 4 bypasses at 85 years old. She survived my being in the US Air Force for 4 years during the Vietnam war 1969-1973 and my not being at my desk in the World Trade Center during both bombings. And finally she survived almost all of her friends and contemporaries now surrounding her with my Dad on Long Island.
I will miss her.
