A few parrots can be spotted in Beverly Hills. A much larger, noisier flock lives in Arcadia (east of Pasadena), near the railroad track. I got dive-bombed once by all of them, flying from a coral tree to . . . well, my head. Parrots are territorial! The Arcadia bunch supposedly came from a pet store destroyed in an earthquake years ago. Carry a few crackers if you walk around there.
