This is a NCR request, but I know you guys will know the best way to do this. A friend of my step-sister lives in the USA and unfortunately is suffering from cancer. She is British but has lived out in the USA for a while, and misses some of the foods that we only get over here - you know the sort of thing, cookies (or biscuits as I would call them ) certain candies etc and so when we are in Las Vegas in the summer we want to bring her favourites with us and then mail to her. I assume that I can take a box say 12" x 12" x 12" cube (maybe a little larger) and just take to the Post Office. Is there any regulations against any packaged foods, or size or weight of package?
I see that there is a priority rate box 12" x 12" x 5.5" but would ideally like something a little larger but as I don't know the zip codes yet I can't work out what a larger box would cost, or should I just go for 2 of these at $17.90?
And how safe / careful is the USPS? There won't be anything valuable as such, but we want to make sure that the items we send arrive in a good, unbroken condition.
Thanks for any advice
Jason
