I happen to collect casino silver rounds and bars. The one you are pointing to has been on ebay for roughly a year at this same price. I messaged to seller some time ago and made him a lower offer. He replied that this bar is rare and some day someone will buy it at his price. I have seen this same bar sell on eBay 2 other times for around the $200 mark. That is the only 3 of these I have seen in a few years now of watching and looking. With silver it is impossible to say if something is rare or not. Yes due to the rise and fall of silver it is very possible that a bunch of these were melted down in the past couple of high rises in silver. Same goes with silver strikes, coin store dealers are for ever popping the silver inserts out and melting them. Lucky for me and our hobby I get all the casino related silver strikes or rounds that my local coin store gets in. Never a lot but always good since I get what ever at melt.
Last week someone posted a note about a $25 and $100 Luxor set in silver and gold plated. They were put on ebay at .99 each. After a couple of days the auction was ended and suddenly the set was put up for a buy now of $649.00
Value is up to the owner and his or her dreams of hitting it big.
