My Dad got me started about 20 years ago with doubles of chips that he had been throwing in his pockets through the years(mostly Vegas and A/C). My Dad has his chips more as a remembrance and will only have a chip from somewhere where he actually gambled. He is not a fervent collector. He got me started though and one day in 2005 I was just googling "casino chips" and stumbled across The Chipboard. I lurked and learned for a while and joined the club in the spring of 2007. I also attended my first convention that year at the Riviera.
