I was a collector of a couple chips in the 60',70's 80' 90's, just because I like the looks of them, and often went to casino all over US and Europe. Put them in a sock, in my dresser drawer. Then twelve, or thirteen, years ago I was in Laughlin at the old Ramada Express, and asked the BJ dealer if he had a nice LE chip in his tray that I wanted, he had no players and searched for a few minutes and sold me the chip. He then asked me if I was a collector, I said not really just had a few old chips I liked. He then told me right now up in Vegas at the trop. a chip club was having a convention and if I had time I should go check it out. I drove right up, never heard of the club before, and went onto the floor and couldn't beleive my eyes. Join that day, and have been a member, then life member, for 13 years. Without that dealers tip, I might never of found the club. So how did others find our club? Maybe a trend will be exposed, and will help with new membership?
