I was looking last night to see if WESTERN CLUB FAIRFIELD might have been a street intersection. Both a Western and a Fairfield exist in Fairfield, but they don't connect. Western Avenue in Gardena, CA was a hotbed of gambling once, but I found no evidence of a Fairfield Club on it. And lastly, the city of Fairfield Texas sounds very Western to everyone except us living in the Far West, where Texas is actually an Eastern place. (Go blame Magellan for all that.)

Jay, have you tried asking John Kallman of Cashcoinconnection about the source for his listing (probably Dick Staeffler who got it from Greg Susong)? Could be a hundred explanations for those old chips - samples, free car wash token, some local fraternal organization.
