Soldered on, but it was done a very long time ago. Maybe at the time it was made. If I hold a slot token over this "Medal??" The slot token is very slightly smaller. It also feels heavier than a slot token. When ever I see something I've never seen before , I try to buy it. I thought this was an old cool piece.
