About things in the article:
Chips are "...ever present icons of gambling, rattling through slot machines.." - do CHIPS really get put into slot machines?
RFID chips "...are housed within modern chips, holding data about the chip's monetary value and activity" - can RFID chips be WRITTEN to? I get that the COMPUTER SYSTEM can tell the activity of the particular chips by reading them in multiple places...but can the RFID tag itself keep that information?
"RFID readers around the casinos, which will deactivate stolen chips the moment they leave the premises. " - again, can they be written to, or just logged so that if they come back into the casino they can be identified as something that was stolen?
Do they bother putting RFID chips into all casino chips? Or just those above a certain value?
