It is a classic bait and switch scheme. They show you some ridiculously low price online, and then the car isn't available. Or it doesn't have any of the features promised online. But you can gladly upgrade for twice the price.

Don't buy into that ok, now you need insurance. We will lie to you about this. Then we will say you need other services and lie and say you need those. They we will tell you if you don't do these things and atom bomb will land on your car and you are going straight to hell.

If all that didn't work, we will just flat refuse to give you a car until you go away carless. For another few dollars you can go to the other rental cars and actually get what was promised to you. For the love of god, avoid the frustration with your trip and do this. Your vacation will thank you.
