I've only had two experiences with quakes. The first was back in 1967 (I was 7yo). We had just got back home to Lawrence, MA from a trip to P-Town on Cape Cod. It was late afternoon, and I fell asleep on the couch just after watching Dark Shadows. I woke up to the entire house shuddering. At first we thought the boiler was getting ready to blow, and ran outside. It was then we saw neighbors who experienced the same thing.

The second time was about 3 years ago. We had a small tremor here in central MA.

Now, hurricanes and tornadoes are a different story...
