Please respond with your interest in the following idea:
There is a $5000 Hard Rock Casino Chip up for auction on eBay. (NOT MY AUCTION):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221753908237
*** Winner determined by SouthPoint roulette table ***
Here is my idea:
1. Take purchase price of this chip and divide by 38 giving us exact cost of Hard Rock Chip spread across 38 entries.
2. I sell exactly 38 entries (for exact price of this item).
3. The Southpoint has a big open area near their roulette tables. At the convention, we all meet at specific time and allow a single spin of the roulette wheel to randomly determine who wins the chip.
4. There are 38 slots on the roulette wheel (0,00,1,2,3,...36)
5. I allow people to pick their number(s) (as long as that number is not already taken) until all 38 numbers are taken.
6. Do not need to be present to win - I'm sure we'll have plenty of folks present to report what the winner number was. (we all will know our numbers way before convention starts).
In order to make this happen, I need to gauge how many folks are truly interested.
Please note:
> Your response here is NOT a commitment to participate. If you say YES, you will NOT be on the hook for an entry. I am only trying to figure out if we have enough interest right now.
> Likewise, if you say YES, this is not a guarantee that you will be sold a number. Numbers will be taken on first-come-first-served basis once I determine there is enough interest.
> I will however give the people in this thread first chance at participation before I ask anyone else. (I have some other people already told me they are interested).
> I am thinking we have a cap of $35 per entry. This will allow me put in a bid up to $1300 on the chip.
Please respond to this thread and indicate how many entries you think you might be willing to buy (knowing the entries could cost between $26 and $35).
The auction ends Friday morning - as a result, I need your responses asap.
Thanks
