You can't compare Las Vegas with Atlantic City Ron. They just keep extending Las Vegas further and further out into the mountains. Atlantic City is an island bounded on all sides with water with little room to expand. Space is at a premium in A.C. ... and with now four less casinos there are now four less parking garages in operation. Then in a couple of months, A.C. will have the beach crowds to contend with as well. Yeah, I agree, parking should be free like Las Vegas .... but I'm a realist. Maybe Bass Pro Shops should do what some restaurants do, like Applebees; they reimburse the $10 parking fee after showing a sales receipt that you actually purchased a meal there. I see tow trucks all the time pulling cars from the McDonald's parking lot of people who park there for hours while shopping at The Walk.
Golden Nugget offers free parking and their business is booming. Profits are way up at GN. Taj Mahal now offers free parking and business seems to be picking up now too. Brenda and I were at Taj late yesterday afternoon. Pretty busy place. Have not seen it that crowded in a long time with lots of $5 and $10 minimum tables.
