POKER & BLACKJACK TOURNEYS! vbg

As in years past, the Convention will include both a Blackjack Tournament and a Poker Challenge, which are open only to all current ccgtcc regular and life members and associate members (age 21 and over). Because of Gaming Regulations, payment for tournaments MUST be made by check and mailed in with your Convention Registration Form by May 20, 2015. No on-line payments for the tournaments can be accepted.

The cost for each tournament remains the same as last year: $70.00 for the Blackjack Tournament and $90.00 for the Poker Challenge. Both tournaments will be held at the South Point Hotel Casino in their respective locations on the casino floor and poker room.

The Blackjack Tournament will be held on Wednesday, June 24th starting at 12 noon. Each player receives 3,000 in NCV chips each round. The bet limits are: 25 minimum/3000 maximum. A maximum of 54 players will be accepted and we anticipate that there will be three (3) preliminary rounds, followed by one (1) semi-final round and finishing with one (1) final round. Players will be scheduled to play in one of the preliminary rounds (12 noon, 1 pm or 2 pm). If a player does not advance to the semi-final round, re-entries into a later initial round will be accepted IF space is available at $70 per re-entry. The 2 pm round may be cancelled, if warranted. Final round players win a portion of the net prize pool, which is dependent upon the number of players.

The Poker Challenge will be held on Friday, June 26th starting at 6 pm. NEW THIS YEAR: the South Point has agreed to increase the initial “stake” for all Poker Challenge participants from 2,500 in NCV chips to 5,000 in NCV chips! The format will be No-Limit, Texas Hold 'Em. Blinds start at 25-25 and limits and antes increase each period of play. Minimum bet and raise increments are equal to the big blind, unless all-in. Tables and seat are assigned at registration. ALSO NEW THIS YEAR: Re-entries WILL be allowed for the Poker Challenge at $90 per re-entry. Members can also sign up at the convention for the Poker Challenge, IF there is space-available and, as always, it's on a first-come, first-served basis. Tables will be consolidated periodically throughout the Tournament. Finalists will be paid in the order of finish, based on the number of players.

A special set of commemorative chips will be available for purchase at the Club Merchandise Table starting on Thursday morning, June 25th when the show opens, or from Roy Nelson, Promotions Director through the mail after the Convention, or from Jerry Vergatos, Tournament Director at the Tournaments.
