The Greg Susong Memorial Award was established to recognize annually the person that you feel “has made the greatest contributions to the and the chip collecting hobby, in addition to having the greatest impact on advancing the chip collecting hobby throughout 2014.” -- THAT should be the basis of everyone's vote. Greg was involved involved with the original Prodigy internet group (as I understand) before starting TheChipBoard as well as TheChipGuide and even published a Riverboat chip guide. This award should not only recognize the contributions that the winner has made to both our club and our hobby, but it stands as a reminder of one of the best ambassadors that this hobby has seen. The past winners -- Charles Kaplan, Todd Barrett, Gene Trimble & Doug "Cigarman" Smith -- truly embody the essence of what this award means and each has deserved this honor for what they have contributed (and continue to contribute). All four candidates for this year's award are well-deserving and the efforts of each & every one of them should be recognized & applauded.
