On the opposite shore of Gilchrist's Restaurant in Gardner's Basin is upscale Massachusetts Avenue, where the Tuna Club used to be. The Tuna Club has since been demolished and has been replaced with some very expensive waterfront homes. Some of the older homes go back to rum-runner days when they had boat garages built under the houses as you can see in this photo (the two dark brown buildings). The boat in the foreground is a lobsterman's fishing boat at Gardner's Basin.
