Well known Gilchrist's Restaurant at Gardner's Basin is only open for breakfast and lunch all year round. Brenda and I often walk our dog to Gilchrist's to buy the Sunday paper. Several A.C. chippers sometimes get together to enjoy the house specialty, blueberry pancakes, before attending our 11 a.m. A.C. Casino Collectibles Club meetings on Sunday mornings. (Dick & Char Brach, Russ & Nancy Diaz, Archie & Brenda Black, Frank & Nancy Caccavone to name a few). In the winter there is a canvas shelter with clear vinyl windows over the outdoor deck with propane heaters. Pictured are the two Gilchrist's owners. .
