A while back I put a bunch of Mississippi chips on the board for $7.00 each. Included was a set of three Sam's Town Halloween chips, which turned out to be worth quite a bit more. I sold them to the first person who emailed me, and turned down all of the other offers that came after. I felt good about that deal. I have had this happen several times over the years, and know that you can't know everything.
On the other hand, I listed a $100 Last Frontier for what I thought was $100. It turns out I missed a zero, and it sold ten minutes later for $10. I cancelled this transaction as it was truly an error in the listing, and relisted it for $100. I also notified the buyer of the situation so that they understood why I did what I did.
My feeling is that when you price something to sell, put it at a price where you are happy. If you leave something on the table, all the better, as it will generate repeat business. The seller was wrong in this case, and I am sorry that they didn't follow though. You have always been fair to me, and another deal will turn up.
Regards,
John
