We had noticed higher holds at least 2 years ago. Yes, the money does not go as far and the time gaming on the slots is reduced.
Last Wednesday we were in Tonopah at the Tonopah Station - after a slot player cashed in a high TITO the slot person (may have been the cashier for all we know) came over to the slot machine inserted a key and turned it 90 degress thereby resetting the payouts - tried the machine and went thru a $20 faster than you can push the button. I have seen this same practice at Vegas casinos.
We have cut way back on going to the casinos - used to go to Vegas twice a month now it's maybe 2 or 3 months between trips.
This also affects our slot card, room key and playing card collecting.
