The green Dog House chip from Bakersfield was an astounding issue. Originally 25¢ denomination but the cardroom desperately needed $1 chips for some reason, and their order hadn't yet come in. So the owner took a magic-marker and wrote 1.00 in black over most every 25¢ chip on hand thereby getting his dollar chips but also creating an "error." Well, not exactly an error, he meant to do it! IF your 25¢ green shows no sign of the overprint, it might be more scarce than the others! - But, unfortunately, unknowing collectors may have rubbed off the pen markings. Ahhhwwooooo! (And that sad dog howl needs no translation.)
