that they are closing right before one of the biggest music events happens in Las Vegas -- and right up the street from them!! The "Rock in Rio" festival takes place over two weekends starting May 8th or so & every other hotel & casino has raised their rates & has limited vacancies. Seems that the Riviera could get their final shots in for those weekends and would do well seeing as the event happens in the dirt lot across from the SLS.
