collectors, that might not be the case for chip collectors. I've bought & sold a number of the Hard Rock $25 & $100 tokens over the years: the $25 tokens went for between $75 (for one in very good condition) & $45 (for average condition); the $100 tokens went for between $125 & $150 (all in very good condition). Chip collecting is not like coin collecting because, comparatively, we have small fraction of collectors. I'm sure that someone would pay $50 for a $25 Hard Rock token in decent shape, but (in my opinion) it would be hard to find someone to pay ten times that amount for a proof version. Same probably goes for the $100 token. To me, the most desirable token is the $1 silver just because there are only a couple around. Unfortunately, even that $1 silver token won't garner the interest or value that it once did because of the diminishing number of Hard Rock AND token collectors.
