I paid $434 in airfare to Southwest for my trip to the convention today. I had $18 in credit from a previous trip that I was hoping to use but it expired in March. If the rates drop I will not be bashful about rebooking and getting more credit to use later. The big advantage with Southwest - you can rebook with no extra fees every time the rates drop. Now we gotta work on the rental car. The cheapest for the week that I am going to be there is $222 which is waaaaay too much for me. Let me know when it gets to around $100. If it doesn't drop I will just take shuttles and cabs since I have very little free time during the week to run around anyway. Now need to book the club rate room for the week to finish up the plans
