The Tropicana Hotel opens! 1957 in Tropicana Las Vegas The famed Les Folies Bergere showgirl production show was a highlight of the entertainment at the Tropicana Hotel. The show closed in 2009, but the hotel remains. The hotel was completely re-designed with a clean South Beach theme in 2011.
