Yeah, The Mentalist was only renewed for a shortened final season this year and aired their 2 hour Series Finale a week or two ago. It was a great one. One of my current favorites is Blue Bloods and I REALLY hope they don't cancel that one - but as a general rule if I like it then it's gonna be short lived...
