Offered here are all 5 of the most recent Ellis Island, $5 commemorative chips. These are not LE's, just commemorative issues to pay tribute (advertise) 5 in-casino entertainers, as Elvis, Bette Midler, Cher, Celine Dion and Marilyn Monroe.

These chips are GPI (Paulson Gaming) in a Hat and Cane (RHC) mold. Nothing special, but what is special is that all 5 (and I suspect all other issues from this series) were made medal aligned. That's right, Medal Aligned, where the large (oversized) inlays are remain upright when the chips are flipped left to right!

I have to suspect, that unless the manufacturing process has evolved to an enhanced mechanical method, additional time and care was required to make sure that each chip was fitted with the corresponding inlays in this purposeful orientation. Which means that these chips may cost more than your average inlay chip!
