I saw an article on that subject in WSJ today. I had never heard the terminology:
many VIP rooms are not solid enough to be able to chase up on loans
Does that refer to getting players to buy-back their markers from their play in the VIP room? They must operate differently from the Nevada casinos where you get a reminder in the mail in a couple of weeks that you have to repay your markers (along with a date for repayment). Also, they will send your marker to your bank for payment if you don't respond.
Maybe the Macau casinos look only to the junket organizers for repayment of their clients' markers?
