I am selling these on consignment for someone. Great bargain, in my opinion, 100 inlaid illegal casino roulette poker chips Meadowbrook, Saratoga NY 1934-58, only $135 plus $6 Priority Mail shipping = $141 total, only!
100 vintage roulette-poker chips from the famous Meadowbrook illegal gambling club, which operated from 1934 to 1959 when it burned down. For a long time it was owned by Doc Farone (who owned many other famous illegal Saratoga gambling clubs) and Mafia interests.
(The Mayfair, later the Meadowbrook or simply "The Brook", opened June 29, 1934 on Union Avenue across from the Piping Rock. It burned in 1959.)
All 100 chips have the distinctive Meadowbrook die-cut inlays. 90 of the chips are brown, and then to round out the 100, there are 10 chips of 6 other colors (seen in the picture above).
There is no doubt that the chips bear the specific custom fancy monogram of the Meadowbrook, Saratoga NY, club: it is shown for the Meadowbrook in the ChipGuide, Ed Hertel's illegal chip guide and Richard Carbin's book on Saratoga gambling chips.
Condition: excellent, only a few chips have some small edge nicks.
