Hey "Cousin Reggie,"
In all the years I've harvested chips, I've never played a card game in a casino! That changed tonight, and here's the story:
An Indian casino in the San Diego area (we won't name) offered a couple of $5 No-Cash-Value chips so I went down there and got a voucher for them in the usual manner, at the player's club counter. But, when I went to the Pit Boss to redeem the voucher as I've done on past occasions, he took the voucher and said I must be seated at a table, playing, before he would give me the chips. Maybe he recognized me from past visits. Or was just a grouchy Pit Boss. Trapped. I sat at the only Blackjack game in his area. I then realized it had a $15 minimum, rather than a $5. Threw down a $20 and got four regular $5 chips. Pit Boss came over with the 2 NCV ones, dealer at first handed them to the player next to me, then realized his error and gave them to me. I put them in my pocket, and bet with 3 of the house chips. Dealer scowled and tossed me two cards. Two Kings. He tried to beat me, got only piddling cards and came up with 18. I heard him hiss, "Damn!" and he was obliged to pay me $15. Dealer asked why I didn't bet with the two NCV chips, I said I figured they were "lucky chips." I took my $35 in chips off the table, said "See ya," and left. Dealer was still muttering under his breath and the Pit Boss was shooting daggers at me with his eyes.
General Custer is looking down approvingly.

Hialeah is in the heart of of the Cuban community in the Miami area. I had heard that they were going transform the old Hialeah Race Track into a Racino about two years ago. I had also heard by calling the officials prior to their “Grand Opening” that they were going to have a Grand Opening chip to commemorate this happening, so we waited a week or two to be able to do a complete harvest.
Miami is only about 2 hours or less from my humble abode here in Bonita Springs, FL. We finally decided to make the trip and turned it into a special happening by taking another couple from our neighborhood.
When we got there it was quite crowded, there was a long line about a quarter of a mile long waiting for free comps of something, it must have been pretty good though. They did a magnificent job on the old building from the 20’s. This was the first greyhound racing park in the U. S. We all went in and Nancy and our friends headed towards the machines and I head upstairs to the one of the newest and most beautiful poker rooms in SW Florida. I gathered the chips I needed from the cashiers cage without any problem. Incidentally, to all harvesters Florida card rooms sell any all chips you need from the cashiers cage. I have made a second trip over there about a year after it opened still no GO chip. Me thinks this never was in the works, and I received bad information from the phone and the people at the card room. BTW when you go there please know English is the second language. I bought enough chips on the second trip. …REGGIE http://www.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=FLHIHP

I am always trying to put things together that have some semblance of balance. Of course, that will always be in the eye of the beholder. Some of these may attract you the collector a little or a lot, no matter which way it attracts, please know I am always trying to help you out, with items you want at price that is fair. For now, I am going to do them every week, but as an unscheduled surprise feature…Thanks for looking. Reggie
If you have some ideas about compatible pairs please send them in to me. If it is possible and I happen to have the two, they will be put on the docket...reg

DESCRIPTIONS
Images with descriptions are always the absolutely best method beginning a trade/buy. Using a scanner with true colors, is the best; imaging method.
Describing your traders is very important to your trade partner, this is equally important to a buyer should you be sending a list to someone that is interested in buying your chips. A generic list of names of casinos, cannot help the trade or sale in any way, it creates more emails and undesirable scenarios.
Here are some choices in which you can specify the casino or chip. Please do not discount this as being too much work.
1) Casino’s such as Harrah’s, Caesar’ & Hollywood, have multiple locations, you must always list the location; if necessary, even the street address.
2) Chips all have ID numbers, now; possibly with the exception of some foreign chips. Nevada chips have two ID#’s The Chip Rack and the Chip Guide numbers. There are other Guides that help out as well with ID#’s on some of the other states along with the Chip Guide. Try sending an ID # with your next trade offering or selling list. See how much better this works. This is a minimum amount of information needed.
3) To create an even more friendly trading or selling atmosphere, include other chip descriptive items; such as:
a)Denomination
b)Color
c)Mold
d) Special distinctions such as G. O. Grand Opening, LTD Limited Edition, etc.
e)# of Inserts and colors
f)Quantity of each available
g)Asking price
An overview is, that; too little information is just a lot of hard work on your chipper trade partners, and or potential buyer. Generally, resulting in a lack of interest, and possibly no trade or sale…

MANY YEARS AGO I STARTED MY POSTING, BY POSTING “A SET OF THE DAY” I THINK I HAD ABOUT 300-400 SETS ALL TOGETHER. THAT WAS A LOT OF FUN BACK THEN. AND WHEN I STARTED DOING “A PAGE A DAY” I INCLUDED BETTER SETS AS A CATEGORY.
BUT NOW; RATHER THAN HAVING MY BETTER SETS CATEGORY, I WILL START HAVING A REGULAR SET OF THE DAY WITH MY OTHER FEATURES WHEN I DISPLAY A “PAGE OF THE DAY”.
I AM REDUCING PRICES ON MOST OF THESE SETS, SOME WILL BE FACE VALUE, SO IF YOU SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE AND WANT, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE IN SENDING ME AN EMAIL, PUTTING A SOLD SIGN ON THE CB IS NOT THE WAY TO GUARANTEE YOUR PURCHASE OR TRADE. SEE POD FOR P/H RATES. SEND ME AN EMAIL FOR ORDERS OR QUESTIONS…Reggie

Starting 2016, I have listed everything I have (all of my excel inventory +) on the collection library trader/for sale. Of course, many of you did not know that my previous listings were items I had more than one of. Now, everything; even the ones I only have 1 (one) of will be listed. Please know; none of these are from my personal collection. One more important point while searching for chips on my CL site; there are two settings for viewing my chips. One is a simply a long, long list of pictures and descriptions. Two is by Country/City/State/Casino alphabetical. You may request to change this at any time. And when you do I will leave it on that setting for a couple of days, or whatever you request within reason, before I change to help another chipper’s request.
Follow This Collection Library Link To Approximately +/- 4500 Trader Chips >>>: http://www.collectionlibrary.com/Index.asp?EvApp=mls.5117&sPageName=MyTraders
This will cause more work for me, and along with that will be the possibility of more errors, and chances for items to slip through the cracks. So, I apologize in advance for the times I do not clear off a listing after it has been sold. Also, on the other side of coin, there will be times I will find a very nice item that I had forgot to put on the “Collection Library” when I first got it. And now I am listing it just when you started looking for it.
*On the subject of trading, please know: When you spot something on my CL Trader/For Sale list that you really want, I need to get something that I can put into my collection, also; or it will be a cash sale. Because, to take in trade something I will in turn have to sell, (that is already in my collection) requires me to work twice as hard to complete the original transaction.
The total amount of chips listed on this site as traders and for sale are approximately 4500. This of course will fluctuate up and down, however this number should afford most collectors looking for a piece to put in their collection at least an opportunity to see a few chips not often offered.
Thanks for taking your time to read over this post, Reggie
