Utility supplier threatens to cut off Revel

Utility supplier threatens to cut off Revel:

ACR Energy Partners L.L.C., which supplies utility services to the bankrupt Revel Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, is threatening to turn off power to the building Thursday, according to a court filing Monday by attorneys for Revel AC Inc.
Revel asked for an emergency hearing to block ACR's move, which could lead to severe damage to the Boardwalk complex.

The threat to turn off the power followed an order Friday by U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Gloria M. Burns giving final approval to debtor-in-possession financing. The ruling was unfavorable to ACR, which has $118.6 million in bond debt and has been arguing that Revel should continue making debt payments during Revel's bankruptcy.

Instead, Revel has only been paying ongoing utility costs, pushing ACR ever closer to bankruptcy.

"The only apparent motivation behind the ACR parties' brazen conduct here is a last-ditch effort to generate negotiating leverage in connection with these Chapter 11 Cases," Revel's filing said.
