I bought one of the very first 'production' CD players in 1985, a Phillips.
It came bundled with the only 3 CD's that existed that day
Born in the USA & Brothers in Arms were two of them, I can't remember the 3rd.
(Both those two could have made my list)
I was working in the City back then. Within a couple of weeks there were thousands of albums available on CD and numerous stores opening.
At that time I figure I had 2,000 vinyl albums. Over the next 15 years, aside from a few rare bootlegs, I traded them and replaced every last one with CD's. By the time I had done that I had to trade in quite a few CD's for the remastered versions (some of the originals were actually pretty poor).
