The old guys that were here are about gone. I used to get some insight to Kansas City's past from a local lawyer and an old time mob guy, both died within the last 6 years. City records tell you very little, old time phone books are good, but nobody saved them. The records that Gene and Howdy have are the best source but limited. I feel we'll never know for sure on some of these attributions.
