Interesting to see the Sellers' perspectives - but there is no marketplace unless both Buyer and Seller have confidence to transact. Since the buyer is forced to pay for the won auction before even seeing what he is buying, never mind taking delivery, it is most important that Ebay create and maintain a platform that attracts buyers and gives them confidence to bid, and recourse if the product is misrepresented, which includes a fair refund and return policy.

I suppose Buyer's remorse does occur - but it is equally or more likely that Seller's remorse happens -where they get less than hoped for and ship inferior product as a result.

As to fees - ultimately the Buyer and Seller share in these costs - as wise sellers set their floor prices to reflect their costs of doing business, which includes lots of things including transaction fees. On any given day there are 10's of thousands of chips for sale on Ebay - what an incredibly efficient marketplace - without which our hobby would barely exist. So - the day Ebay goes away - I doubt anyone here will be dancing, as the value of our collections will likely drop precipitously.
