Just got an email to say that I won an auction for a higher amount that I expected as I thought I had only bid £17.17 (I always use an odd number just in case someone else bid a round amount such as £17 in this case, which has meant I have won auctions by only a few pence in the past).

So I checked and obviously made a mistake and had put £1717 as my max bid instead of £17.17 - that missing decimal point could have cost me a lot!!!

So I paid a little more than I wanted to, but at least got some nice chips and not too expensive, but I will be sure to check twice next time I bid on Ebay - and a warning to everyone out there!!!
