Well it seems there is a problem with whatever controls the lip sync so I called for some warranty repair. The bad news - they can't fix it. The good news - they are sending me a new one! Even though it is a refurbished unit it will be here and set up on Wednesday and with the full two year warranty.

The TV that it replaced has the dreaded white dot syndrome. Basically the chip that controls the pixel colors is dying and I now have about a thousand white and black dots on the screen. I moved that 60" TV into the bedroom to replace the small one we had there. I told Cindy to let me know when the dots bother her and I would order a new chip and replace it. Well she finally can't stand it anymore so the new chip will be here next week also. It was a tough decision to buy a $175 chip or just spend the extra money and get a whole new TV. Probably should have just gotten the new TV.
