I went by last fri and talked to the guy running the poker room. He was very nice and kept apologizing for not being able to sell me any $2 chips.
His story was, when they first came out a guy was playing poker and asked the dealer if he could buy a chip. The dealer sold him one and that nite got in a bunch if trouble for selling it. Although the dealer didn't kno he couldn't sell any.
The other sell was at the main cage, an attendant sold an individual 25 of them from the cage. They pulled them and he said they have accounted for all but 23 of them. He went on to say they were going to use them in the poker room for drop chips at a little later date.
So I'm just gonna wait
