DEFINITION OF RECORD
This record is for the greatest number of casino chips collected from different casinos.
This record is to be attempted by an individual.
This record is measured by the different number of casino chips that meet our criteria.
SPECIFIC GUIDELINES FOR ‘LARGEST COLLECTION OF CASINO CHIPS’
1 - The record is based on the total number of different casino chips from different casinos.
Token coins do not count.
2 - Only one chip (any denominations) from each casino counts.
3 - Duplicates do not count.
GUIDELINES FOR ‘LARGEST COLLECTIONS’
§ The assessment of the collection must take place in a public place or in a venue open
to public inspection.
§ The name of the organization, company or person(s) making the attempt must be
given, along with the date and place.
§ The record is based on the total number of different individual casino chips in the
collection. Duplicates do not count.
§ Claims must be submitted by the owner with a brief history of when (year) and why
the collection began. It is also of interest to know where the collection is housed and
if there is a particular favorite, giving reasons why.
§ A count of the number of different casino chips claimed must be taken by some
accurate method of counting. This is essential and must be done efficiently.
Number 2 got me. I don't have a large collection like some but I had over 2K chips but from only 385 Casinos.
I thought this was going to be an easy one but there is some things you have to do and providing the witness is the biggest hurdle they have to count each one by hand.
I think if someone from the Club wanted to do this the Convention would be a great place to do it and might be an added attraction for people to see. Also for the Witness that you would need there would be all kinds of experts to verify it. Maybe could turn it into an annual event.
Thought I would share.
