I wondered why I hadn't seen it, as I was a big SCTV fan - so I looked it up. The New Show lasted a couple months and was the lowest-rated TV series in the 1983-84 season (#94 out of 94)! Ouch. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_Show
