I am sure that a lot of toys and games I had as a child would be worth quite a bit if I had left them in boxes and never played with them - but not sure I would trade a childhood for riches in later life? Just my perspective, but one that I advocate for my daughter now (besides which if she needs financial help in the future, that is what I am here for as well ).
