This morning at around 3am we were woke up with the house shaking violently. Surprising there was no damage to our home. A few things fell off shelves and doors were swinging , but not much more. We are located in Fairfield (about 12-15 miles from epicenter) We are very fortunate and count our blessings.
The epicenter was in American Canyon (approx. 7-8 miles from downtown Napa) There is a lot of damage in downtown. My wife works downtown and their building is not accessible until it is cleared by structural engineers. They will most likely have to set up a remote site until repairs are made. I believe many buildings in the area are in worse shape. A lot of brick buildings with cracks running through them. Some of the roads leading in/out of Napa are damaged as well. Any one hear from Steve Passalacqua? He lives in Napa.
