i have won many items for a bid way below market value only to be told the item was lost, damaged, no longer available, etc.

i have sold items where the buyer did not pay.

i have listed items where bidders have retracted their days-old bid an hour before the item ends.

What happens? NOTHING! ebays only concern is collecting fees. As a seller, i have to link my bank account to paypal. This
ensures that ebay gets all their sellers fees at the end of the month. The ebay patron gets no such protection.

Unfortunately ebay has a monopoly on the internet auction business so im stuck with it.
